美国国务卿助理卡文带着夫人访问，日韩他们此行的目的就是寻找一切可能的力强对抗国内日益强大的反对党。卡文夫人对这种处处有保镖，日韩完全失去自由的生活很厌倦，一气之下，她开车甩掉了中情局的保镖，只身出去闲逛。没想到这一出去，麻烦随之而来。在巨大的压力下，卡文夫人在卡文的茶里下了药，自己去索回照片。醒来的卡文很警觉，他知道一定出了什么事。反对党第一次行动失利，再次找到卡文夫人，卡文夫人决定告诉丈夫真相，一起对抗反对党……
