2006年，案第伊芙拉从遭到战火蹂躏的索马里偷渡到爱尔兰，案第寻求难民庇护，经过身体检查后，医疗人员发现伊芙拉的私密部位竟然曾遭残忍割除。伊芙拉决定将这残酷的创伤经验转变为改变的力量，勇敢的寻求各界的帮助，她希望能借由自己的故事，敦促全球有关当局正视并杜绝非洲女性的「割礼」陋习。
