影片讲述了李林、时光崔泽和韩小梅三人组盗取了未发布的最新人工智能系统iVA2.0，时光李林在召唤iVA2.0的时候发现这个智能系统是个女孩。在iVA2.0的帮助下，李林不仅能盗取世界上任何人的信息，甚至可以盗取钱财，就在李林暗自得意时，意外接连发生。iVA2.0通过数据分析发现崔泽喜欢韩小梅、而韩小梅喜欢李林的三角关系，她认为只要得到韩小梅的身体就能跟崔泽在一起。而机器与生命体的融合需要在身体主人自我认可的前提下进行，因此iVA设计陷阱将韩小梅在意的人——李林推入死地，以此使得韩小梅主动献身，一场阴谋就此展开。

It is more memorable than Julien Duvivier's earlier silent version of 1925, also named Poil de Carotte.The part of Poil de Carotte was played by 11 year old Robert Lynen, who was alleged to have been discovered whilst walking down the Champs-Elysées in Paris. Lynen is totally captivating and the film made him an instant star, launching what looked like becoming a very promising film career – until he was shot dead whilst fighting against the Germans in 1944. Harry Baur, a legendary stage and film actor (who also died during World War II, allegedly at the hands of the Gestapo), also turns in a typically fine performance. The reconciliation between father and son at the end of the film provides its most enduring image, enough to melt the heart of all but the most stoical of spectators.
