西条拓己（吉野裕行 配音）是一个标准的废柴，霹雳个性懦弱又不负责任的他住在集装箱里，霹雳每日除了上课外都宅在家里玩网络游戏，深深沉迷与二次元世界的他认为一切三次元的都与他无关。此时的涉谷地区，正在发生名为“New Gene”的连续猎奇杀人事件，以被害者死状惨烈而臭名昭著。一日，拓己在网络聊天室里遇见了一名自称将军（代永翼 配音）的神秘人物，将军用津津乐道的口吻预言了下一次的猎奇杀人事件始末，并且传来了血腥暴力的现场照片。一开始，拓己只当其是恶作剧者不予理会，但数日后，将军所预言的一切都成为了现实。拓己偷偷潜入犯罪现场，撞见了浑身是血眼神空洞的女生咲畑梨深（喜多村英梨 配音）并认定她就是杀人凶手。但不久之后，梨深却又以昔日老友的身份出现在了拓己面前。凶手究竟是谁？将军的真实面目是什么？在现实与幻想之间，拓己混沌的头脑要做出一次又一次的关乎于性命的选择。
