《玄璃美人煞》主要讲述了上古时期，索命帝君为压制魔王而耗尽必生修为，索命闭关前将自己的一缕化身转世为寒慕，对此毫不知情的寒慕在九重山修炼时，遇到了体内蕴含着本源魔力的魔族之女玄璃，二人在共同修炼的过程中产生情愫，相知相许。对寒慕心怀爱慕之情的师姐青雪因嫉妒而被利用，开启魔王封印并为魔族所用。帝君也由此强行苏醒，为再次拯救苍生，帝君收回已命不久矣的寒慕，得知真相的玄璃一面跟随帝君，希望能够找回寒慕，一面与帝君一起对抗魔族。
