在高中的一个暑假，色婷桦山由佳（土屋太凤 饰）和其他九名同学从昏迷中醒来，色婷却发现他们被囚在位于某个偏远乡村的废弃建筑物内。众人懵懵懂懂，只有由佳抱着无所谓的态度。这时，放在房间角落里的录像机和电视突然自动运行起来，屏幕中显示出相应文字。在场的十个人禁止走出建筑，他们必须参加人狼游戏。十人中有两个人是人狼，其他“村民”必须在规定时间前找出人狼并将其杀掉，而人狼则同样要设法杀掉村民。截止期限前未完成任务或者违反规则都将面临处死的命运。少男少女带着些许玩乐的心态进行着游戏，可是游戏却朝着难以预料的方向发展……本片根据川上亮的小说原作改编。

The film starts with verse 67, “O somma luce…” and continues to the end. “O Somma luce” recalls the first words uttered by Empedocles in Danièle Huillet and Jean-Marie Straub’s 1987 The Death of Empedocles—“O himmlisch Licht!…” (O heavenly light!). This extract from Hölderlin’s text is also inserted into their 1989 film Cézanne.“O somma luce” invokes utopia, or better still “u-topos,” Dante, Holderlin, Cézanne… the camera movement, recalling Sisyphus, in the film’s long shots, suggests its difficulty.In O somma luce, with Giorgio Passerone’s Dante and the verse that concluded the Divine Comedy, we find at the extremity of its possibilities, the almost happy speech of a man who has just left earthly paradise, who tries to fully realize the potential of his nature.
