自《世界》浮出水面后，点播以贾樟柯为代表的第六代导演终于走过混沌、点播镇痛的时期，开始迎来新的创作阶段。2006年，贾樟柯凭借《三峡好人》在第63届威尼斯电影节上勇夺金狮奖，全世界开始关注这个来自中国山西汾阳小县城的男人。法国青年导演戴米安·欧诺为其作品所感动，于是带领团队来华拍摄一部关于贾樟柯的纪录片。适值此时，贾正忙于《三峡好人》和《东》的发行工作，镜头前，他仿佛更像一个操控全局的制片人，终日马不停蹄。在此之后，小贾及其团队、法国摄制组返回家乡汾阳，闲聊儿时的趣闻乐事、恳谈创作轨迹与初衷，并以这小小的县城为原点，共同感受中国这十年来的巨大变迁……

If These Walls Could Sing will explore the legendary recording studio’s history in conjunction with Abbey Road’s 90th anniversary this November. The film is produced by John Battsek and directed by filmmaker and photographer Mary McCartney, daughter of Paul and Linda.“Some of my earliest memories as a young child come from time spent at Abbey Road,” Mary McCartney said in a statement. “I’ve long wanted to tell the story of this historic place, and I couldn’t be collaborating with a better team than John and Mercury Studios to make this creative ambition a reality.”
