同治三年（公元1864）太平天国作乱，女神福建省骠骑将军林文豪连年争战杀场，女神趁着回台空隙探望妻儿，不料竟撞见其妻宝霞因不耐长年忍受丈夫不在身边的孤独，决心与文豪多年好友朱士贵私奔，林文豪几经挣扎，决定放宝霞走，往后孤独一人带着女儿林玉环在战场上杀长毛军报效国家。
