这部电影聚焦于欧文与扎克两个童年发小的故事。扎克的父亲去世了，日韩他要去继承庞大的遗产，日韩于是两基友一起踏上了一段离奇的公路旅程。虽有巨额遗产可继承，但扎克的麻烦事儿可多了，首先他有个难缠的姐姐（艾米·波勒饰），艾米对于父亲把所有遗产都留给了这个白痴兄弟十分震惊，甚至跟弟弟打起了官司。另外，他们的父亲还给他们留下了一个年轻的怀着大肚子的后妈。乱成麻的家庭关系和财产纠纷考验着扎克，也让他与欧文的友谊经受着历练。

回复 :In the Alpine village of Tolzbad in the 1800s, the townsfolk talk quietly and restrain their movements lest they incur avalanches. This atmosphere lends itself to repressed emotions - shown through the parallel stories of butler student Johann lusting after his mother (an old flame of the mysterious Count Knotkers) and Klara's attraction to her father (who lusts after his other daughter), leading to duels and suicidal plunges galore.
