寄宿大学生高桥美咲（樱井孝宏 配音）和大作家宇佐见秋彦（花田光 配音）延续着第一部，天天仍然继续着他们的恋爱故事。在秋彦的编辑相川小姐和丸川书店的老板的怂恿下，天天美咲答应参加秋彦的菊川赏得奖纪念酒会。在路途上，美咲意外邂逅了秋彦的哥哥春彦（鸟海浩辅 配音）。小兔老师和家人的关系都很恶劣，夹在中间的美咲左右为难。而难上加难的是，春彦展开了追求美咲的攻势，不是送花就是送草莓，让小兔老师的低气压降到最小值。小兔老师不仅提防着春彦，还得提防着美咲的同学角，但没想到角真正中意的是他自己。美咲和小兔的恋爱道路上挫折不断。而另外两对，上条弘树（伊藤健太郎 配音）和草间野分（神奈延年 配音）；高槻忍（岸尾大辅 配音）和宮城庸（井上和彦 配音）的感情之路也波折连连。但结局好一切都好。

回复 :In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends Volume 5 DVD set. Also worth noting is that here, a new theme song was added that was written by J.R. Johnston and Neil Panton. The theme was sung by J.R. Johnston. This theme song was not shown internationally, and as a result, it does not appear on the DVDs (although Garfield's quotations are kept intact). This new introduction sequence used most clips from Seasons 5-7 and a few from the first two seasons, as well as Garfield in Paradise and Garfield's Feline Fantasies. The episodes stopped using a few seconds of the theme playing in the episode title cards after season seven's fourth episode; music from the episodes were used in the title cards until the show ended, even though season six used music from some of their episodes.
