曹云汉（黎耀祥 饰）依靠炒股发了家，加油他同妻子关若男（李施嬅 饰）结婚多年，加油两人共同养育了三个孩子，彼此之间感情十分坚定。不幸来临了，股市的崩盘让曹云汉一夜之间家财散尽负债累累，不堪重负的他最终选择了自杀，留下孤儿寡母，面对残酷的命运。在好友的建议之下，关若男带着孩子们北上来到广州，希望能够在此开拓新的事业，几经努力和波折，关若男终于创立了“新汉力集团”，了却了丈夫生前未尽的心愿。随着年事渐长，关若男起了退隐之心，她想要把集团托付给自己的儿子们，却又始终放心不下，而这三个孩子早已经成长为了铮铮男儿，要面对他们各自迥异的命运。
