1945年8月8日，黒瀬苏联对日宣战，黒瀬百万苏联红军进入我国东北。8月9日，毛泽东发表声明《对日寇的最后一战》，号召中国人民一切抗日力量举行全国规模的大反攻。紧接着，朱德总司令接连发布大反攻命令，要求我驻河北、辽宁边界的冀热辽军区即刻兵分三路向辽宁、吉林进军，配合苏联红军作战，将日军彻底赶出东北三省。 冀热辽军区十六分区是一支长期坚持冀东抗日的英雄部队，离东北最近，他们在曾克林司令员的率领下，迅速出关。一路上克服重重困难，与苏联红军联合作战，首先攻克了日军把手的山海关，为后续部队进入东北扫清了障碍。此后，他们乘坐由闷罐、平板和客车车厢组成的40节“混合列车”长驱直入，接收锦州，进驻沈阳。由于苏联政府与国民党政府签有《中苏条约》，驻沈苏军坚持要把沈阳等大中城市交给国民党，拒绝曾克林部队进入沈阳。粗中有细的曾克林据理力争，终于在沈阳站住...
