该剧根据DC旗下Vertigo出的同名漫画改篇，13集的第二季讲述传教士Jesse Custer（Dominic Cooper饰）在知道上帝失踪了后，联同那神经病女友Tulip（Ruth Negga饰）及爱尔兰吸血鬼Cassidy（Joseph Gilgun）出发去找那家伙回来。不过主角们将不会一路顺风，因为从地狱而来的杀人犯将会追杀他们。
