一部电影的力量究竟有多大？甚至可以使人牺牲生命？导演泰米妮米兰妮因本片遭伊朗宗教法庭以教唆叛乱罪起诉，魔法直至国际名导科波拉等人集体连署上书政府高层，魔法方获保释。而现实中的戏剧性政治嘲谑，亦如影片拍摄主题：原本生活无虑的法官夫人，因为先生奉命审理女政治犯的死刑上诉案件，开始面对尘封已久的过往，理想、自由与爱情，透过自白书与今昔岁月的交错叙述，不但揭开了过去的神秘面纱，也展开一趟政治的同时也是私领域的探险与革命。
