关于纽约的一个封闭的犹太教哈西德派社区的纪录片。由于受二战时犹太大屠杀刺激，欧美该社区进行严格的自我封闭以求维系犹太教社会关系和生活传统，欧美并使用严格的内部通讯机制以隔绝与外界的接触。但是现在这个社区中有三个年轻人因为不同的原因，都想脱离这个孤绝的封闭社区，然而他们一旦脱离将永远不再能和包括家人在内的所有亲属和朋友有任何联系。
