温人（中村伦也 饰）曾经有一个美满幸福的家庭，朝比但这份幸福随着母亲爽子（木村佳乃 饰）的离开而被击的粉碎。成年后的温人早已经同情同手足的哥哥哲人（新井浩文 饰）失散多年，朝比成为了星丘车站失物招领处的工作人员。他十分珍视那些被拾得的遗失物品，希望它们终有一天能够回到主人的手上，然而，大多数物品的下场，唯有被当做垃圾被处理掉。某日，中尾（岛田久作 饰）和大林（杏 饰）两名刑警找到了温人，告知了他爽死的死讯，为了解开母亲生前遗留的谜团，温人决定靠自己的力量调查真相，就此结识了和自己有着血缘关系的姐姐七海（佐佐木希 饰）和弟弟雄哉（菅田将晖 饰）。经过调查，温人发现，母亲被卷入了一宗价值三百万日元的疑案之中。
