恐怖事件接二连三地在某军事基地发生，狱福外星生物在人们熟睡的时候正大批侵入人体和大脑，狱福进而毁灭人类……玛蒂和弟弟跟随从事环保工作的爸爸来到一个军事基地，调查那里的化学污染情况，恐怖之事从此接踵而来。刚进基地玛蒂就觉得那里的人都很怪异。原来这个基地已被外星来的一种生物所占领。它们趁人们熟睡的时候侵入人的体内和大脑，让他们成为活死人，企图籍此占领所有的军事基地。进而毁灭人类。玛蒂的父母及弟弟都相继被外星生物杀死。玛蒂在飞行员蒂姆的救助下逃出该基地，并在路上炸毁了将外星生物运往其它军事基地的卡车。但除了他们俩之外，又有谁会相信这段经历呢？

Meanwhile, the green lawns of Britain's National Physical Laboratory host a race between its young apprentices in order to demonstrate how and why data moves quickly and successfully around modern data networks. It's all thanks to the brilliant technique first invented there in the 1960s by Welshman Donald Davies - packet switching - without which there would be no internet as we know it.But what of the future, big data and artificial intelligence? Should we be worried by the pace of change, and what our own data could and should be used for? Ultimately, Fry concludes, data has empowered all of us. We must have machines at our side if we're to find patterns in the modern-day data deluge. But, Fry believes, regardless of AI and machine learning, it will always take us to find the meaning in them.
