回复 :生物学博士中村洋介从美国留学归来，效力于军方药品开发研究所。不久之后，中村洋介的妻弟参军死于战场，妻子悲痛欲绝，自戕于中村面前。中村洋介不愿接受这个事实，靠着自己在生物学的天赋，妄图利用特殊药物复活妻子。不料药物研制不但没有复活妻子，反而造成研究所内病毒肆虐。受此病毒感染的人丧失理智，变得性情暴戾，失去理智，且极具攻击性，如同狂犬病感染者一般用嘴撕咬他人。而被咬的人，在受伤之后片刻也会遭到感染，进而又去攻击他人。医药研究所顿时变成了人间炼狱，而幸存下来的人们开始各自的求生之路……
