《最后的讲座》讲述的是郭力华教授平常而又不平凡的一生。影片以郭力华的最后一次讲座为主线，倾城采用倒叙、倾城闪回、意识流等多种艺术手法，回顾郭力华从在东北上学、到青海支教以及来海南发展的人生轨迹，通过一个个片断和细节，充分展示其热爱教育事业、无私奉献的动人事迹。影片还将展现郭力华的感情、家庭生活，力争塑造一个真实、立体的先进人物形象。
